Cardiologist
Prof. Dr. Umuttan Doğan is a cardiologist with more than twenty years’ experience. His work is on treating narrowed heart arteries, heart valve disease and rhythm disorders with a catheter. He spent 18 years as a faculty member at Selçuk and Akdeniz universities. Today he sees patients at Antalya American Hospital and at his clinic in Konyaaltı.

Biography
Prof. Dr. Umuttan Doğan sees patients in the Department of Cardiology at Antalya American Hospital and at his clinic in Konyaaltı.
He graduated from Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine in 1997 and completed his residency in cardiology at the same faculty in 2005. In 2012 he gained a certificate in electrophysiology at the Gülhane Military Medical Academy (GATA).
He spent eight years on the academic staff of Selçuk University, Meram Faculty of Medicine, and was made an associate professor in 2013. Between 2014 and 2024 he was a faculty member in the Department of Cardiology at Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine, becoming a professor in 2019. During that time he worked on complex coronary artery interventions, the interventional treatment of heart valve disease and ablation for heart rhythm disorders, and supervised residents’ dissertations.
He has 79 scientific publications. He sat on the editorial board of the Akdeniz Medical Journal between 2016 and 2018, and has reviewed for The Anatolian Journal of Cardiology, the European Journal of Neurology and the Akdeniz Medical Journal. He has taken part as an invited speaker, panellist and session chair at national and international meetings, among them the Turkish Cardiology Congress, the Atrial Fibrillation Summit and the International Symposium on Progress in Clinical Pacing in Rome.
He has been a member of the Turkish Society of Cardiology since 2005. He speaks English (C1) and German (B1).
